Stoneground 100% Whole Khorasan flour from our December 2019 harvest. This Khorasan wheat has been sustainably grown on our farm in Forbes, NSW, machine cleaned and is freshly milled to order using a traditional stone mill. Khorasan wheat is a type of ancient grain, meaning it has remained unchanged for hundreds of years. It is a longer grain and is known for its buttery colour and rich, nutty flavour.
The 2019 harvest of Khorasan was high in protein and the 100% whole Khorsan flour has a protein level of 16.8%.
It's great used in breads, cookies, waffles, pancakes and pasta!
Whilst it contains gluten, some gluten intolerant people find they can more easily digest Khorasan.
Our flour is 100% pure wheat flour with no additives or preservatives.
Our flour will last up to 6 months from the milling date (which is usually within a week of your order date), but you can store it sealed and in the fridge or freezer to prolong its freshness.
